M4P week 2005

The M4P week taken place in Hanoi in November 2005 has received over 250 participants with a broad range of representation from Government, donors, researchers, NGOs, entrepreneurs and the media. Four focus days on Factor Market, Value Chain, Policy and Public and Private respectively brought together many different programmes and organizations working in the same theme. Factor Market received high levels of interest in the land and labour markets work. The second day on Value Chain was a promotion of harmonisation and the building of a "community of practice" in value chain work in Vietnam. The following Policy Day concentrated on facilitating the discussion of new approaches to linking research and policy making via "innovation systems" while the last Public Private Day advanced the discussion of markets and service delivery to the poor with more panel presentations on Vietnamese case studies.

Besides, the coffee table book "Entrepreneur - overcoming poverty through enterprise" was launched in the presence of the entrepreneurs themselves. Soft copies of the M4P week proceeding can be downloaded here in: English (2.84MB) | Vietnamese (2.5MB)
